The first time I picked up a picked up a book and started to read, really read, that I can remember is sometime in elementary school. Our class went to the library and we were allowed to browse and look for something that would pique our interest. The very first "chapter" book that I can ever remember reading, was A Wrinkle in Time. From that point on, I read every book I could get my hand on. Nothing has really changed since then, except I feel like I hardly have time to dedicate to my favorite hobby! Between work, kids, family, housework and my SecondLife, reading seems to fall in that time right before bed, when I end up waking up with a book on my face. The thing I like the most about it, is that from your bed, the bathtub, the couch, your favorite chair...you can travel to different worlds without ever leaving your home. It's the cheapest plane ticket!

Nylah is Truth's newest hairstyle and its available at Uber until next month! It's a great, fun and long length hair that can be styled in so many ways that it'll feel like you have four hairstyles in one. You can wear it with the cute buns like I am, or wear them as long pony's for a fuller look. Uber opens the 25th of each month and runs until the 22nd when they close to set up for the next round. One of my biggest self indulgences is a long, hot and quiet bath that I can relax in for sometimes over an hour (or until the water gets too cool!) I'm a mother of two, one of my children being a special needs daughter, and the other a very rambunctious five year old boy who seems to never stop. On top of the kids, I also work full time, so you can imagine, things can get pretty hectic! When things get too stressful, I steal away to the bathroom, light a few candles, add a bath bomb or some bubbles to the tub and find my inner sanctuary.

Blueberry has started the year out with a couple great releases. I'm wearing the Evie high wasted jeans paired with an older release from her, the Aria button up top. I swear, nobody does denim like Blue, they look so realistic and fit like a glove! She made a cropped sweatshirt with an optional modesty piece to compliment the jeans, and currently you can get both fatpacks for a 20% discount, but it's not going to last long, so hurry and get them!

Image Essentials has made this wonderful mesh prop and pose set called "Apple Picking" and it can be found in their mainstore. It comes complete with mesh props including the apple tree, basket, grass and the water log, along with four built in poses for you to use. 

I'm wearing a past VIP hair from Truth called Ciara. It can be worn as a bun, like I have or a casual braid down the back that I featured in a previous post. It's no longer a free hair for group members, but if you happened to miss it, you can find it for sale for 500L for an entire fatpack, but you have to be a member of the inworld VIP group. Post Holiday Shopping!

One of my favorite things about the Holidays is the sales in the days after! If you're like me, you'll receive some money or gift cards and the best time to use those is right after Christmas because most stores have great sales on leftover holiday items! I love a good deal, and if I can get something half price a couple days after the big day, well that's definitely all right with me! I even am able to find Christmas gifts for loved ones for the following year at great prices. Just don't forget where you hide them!

Blueberry has some great things going on right now! If you go to the Linden shopping event Shop & Hop, you'll find five sims worth of shopping things at great sale prices and even find loads of free gifts. Blue has an amazing sweater dress fatpack available for free as well as a 250L store credit for all those that stop by! She even has some fatpack deals on some of her past gachas, which is pretty great for those that don't like to play the machines but want the items. Visit Blueberry at the Shop & Hop before January 4th to snatch up the deals. If you're not into the sales, visit her mainstore and pick up the great outfit I'm wearing. This is the Cece set, and it comes with this perfect trench coat with built in dress or shirt that you can also turn off, flat or high heel boots, and great boot socks to pull the whole look together! Nobody matches Blueberry's eye for details.

Truth dropped an amazing new VIP hair on his Truthies for Christmas. This is Joy, and it's so versatile. It can be worn as a cute pony like what you see here, or it can be pulled into a great bun. It also came with a cute light up headband that is perfect for any festive parties, and will look great for the New Year's Eve parties you're sure to go to! I love exploring Second Life and all of the wonderful places you can go. Backdrop City has created a beautiful winter wonderland for photography purposes, and is full of amazing photo ops. I stumbled across this Cinderella-like carriage, and immediately donned a gown and pretended I was off to a ball! If you're looking for a winter sim, I highly recommend visiting. It is set to group only, but the group is free to join. You can find the sim here.

I own a LOT of gowns in SL. But my best, and favorite, ones are from Just Because! They are always perfectly fitted and have beautiful details. I'm wearing the Nadine gown in the rose gold color. It's in her mainstore, so if you're looking for the perfect formal dress for a holiday party, make sure to go visit Just Because!

'Tis the season! Christmas is less than two weeks away, and in my life, that means chaos! I have a very excited five year old that is counting down the days. I am also counting the days, but I'm more excited for the holiday season to be over, thanks to working in retail, and for the days to slow down a bit. Even though things get hectic, it is one of my favorite times of the year. I love nothing more than to snuggle with a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket, sappy hallmark Christmas movies and the twinkling lights on a tree. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Image Essentials has the Miss Kringle pose set available at the Naughty List event, from December 3-31st. It's a great pack including 5 poses and their mirrors and a naughty little candy cane for those girls on the naughty list ;) Make sure to pick it up before the event is over!

Dead Dollz has this great dress that's perfect not only for the holidays, but for the whole year! It comes in a great selection of colors and if you indulge in the fatpack (because who doesn't need to treat themselves to a great present?) you can mix and match the tops and bottoms. Trompe Loeil is well known for their advent calendar gacha that is featured at the Arcade every year, and this year, the creator out did themselves! The "calendar" is this great fireplace, and you play the gacha for keys to unlock the 12 different items. I love the rustic style of the decorations, and how some of them aren't necessarily strictly Christmas. Go try your luck!

Truth hair has just released this fantastic new short and sassy hairstyle called Mitzi, and I've fallen in love! It's beautiful and has a ton of options for styling and his fabulous color hud means you have endless ways to personalize it. It's a mainstore release and shouldn't be missed.

Baby, you'll freeze out there....But not if you pick up the newest collaboration between Blueberry and Reign! Reignberry features a cozy cardigan, cute top, warm scarf and cute shorts that pair perfectly with boots and socks. When these two stores work together, you know that something amazing will always come out of it, and they sure didn't disappoint! These are available at both their mainstores and isn't something that should be missed. There's so many different textures, that you'll be wearing a new outfit everyday!

Truth had a perfect hair to pair with this ensemble. It's the Irenka hair with pompom hat that was a VIP gift back in December of 2016, but it's still in style for these cold wintery months! You can still purchase this if you're a VIP member for 500L for the entire fatpack, and it includes the short style I'm wearing, and also a longer style with a hud that let's you change the color of the hat as well!
