One of my favorite things about the Holidays is the sales in the days after! If you're like me, you'll receive some money or gift cards and the best time to use those is right after Christmas because most stores have great sales on leftover holiday items! I love a good deal, and if I can get something half price a couple days after the big day, well that's definitely all right with me! I even am able to find Christmas gifts for loved ones for the following year at great prices. Just don't forget where you hide them!

Blueberry has some great things going on right now! If you go to the Linden shopping event Shop & Hop, you'll find five sims worth of shopping things at great sale prices and even find loads of free gifts. Blue has an amazing sweater dress fatpack available for free as well as a 250L store credit for all those that stop by! She even has some fatpack deals on some of her past gachas, which is pretty great for those that don't like to play the machines but want the items. Visit Blueberry at the Shop & Hop before January 4th to snatch up the deals. If you're not into the sales, visit her mainstore and pick up the great outfit I'm wearing. This is the Cece set, and it comes with this perfect trench coat with built in dress or shirt that you can also turn off, flat or high heel boots, and great boot socks to pull the whole look together! Nobody matches Blueberry's eye for details.

Image Essentials always has great poses for any picture you have in your mind! Right now you can find the Holiday Shopping pose and prop set at Twe12ve, until the 31st of December. It comes with 8 different poses and lots of shopping bag props to choose from. Hurry and get it before the event closes!

Truth dropped an amazing new VIP hair on his Truthies for Christmas. This is Joy, and it's so versatile. It can be worn as a cute pony like what you see here, or it can be pulled into a great bun. It also came with a cute light up headband that is perfect for any festive parties, and will look great for the New Year's Eve parties you're sure to go to! If you're not a member of the VIP group, the fee is 350L and you're guaranteed 12 VIP styles throughout the year, sometimes even more if you count the different ways to wear them! It's an amazing bargain, and one of my favorite groups to be a part of.

I love exploring Second Life and all of the wonderful places you can go. Backdrop City has created a beautiful winter wonderland for photography purposes, and is full of amazing photo ops. I stumbled across this Cinderella-like carriage, and immediately donned a gown and pretended I was off to a ball! If you're looking for a winter sim, I highly recommend visiting. It is set to group only, but the group is free to join. You can find the sim here.

I own a LOT of gowns in SL. But my best, and favorite, ones are from Just Because! They are always perfectly fitted and have beautiful details. I'm wearing the Nadine gown in the rose gold color. It's in her mainstore, so if you're looking for the perfect formal dress for a holiday party, make sure to go visit Just Because!

Truth's latest VIP hairstyle is the beautiful Teila. It can be worn in a number of different ways, with multiple bang options. It even has an option for no bangs, so you can customize the look with bangs from the VIP bang pack, which is free to all group members. If you're not a member of the Truth VIP group, what are you waiting for?? It's totally worth the 350L join fee, and you get amazing hairstyles exclusive to the group.

'Tis the season! Christmas is less than two weeks away, and in my life, that means chaos! I have a very excited five year old that is counting down the days. I am also counting the days, but I'm more excited for the holiday season to be over, thanks to working in retail, and for the days to slow down a bit. Even though things get hectic, it is one of my favorite times of the year. I love nothing more than to snuggle with a cup of hot chocolate, a blanket, sappy hallmark Christmas movies and the twinkling lights on a tree. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays!

Image Essentials has the Miss Kringle pose set available at the Naughty List event, from December 3-31st. It's a great pack including 5 poses and their mirrors and a naughty little candy cane for those girls on the naughty list ;) Make sure to pick it up before the event is over!

Dead Dollz has this great dress that's perfect not only for the holidays, but for the whole year! It comes in a great selection of colors and if you indulge in the fatpack (because who doesn't need to treat themselves to a great present?) you can mix and match the tops and bottoms. Right now, if you're a group member, you can score this great dress at a 50% discount! 

Trompe Loeil is well known for their advent calendar gacha that is featured at the Arcade every year, and this year, the creator out did themselves! The "calendar" is this great fireplace, and you play the gacha for keys to unlock the 12 different items. I love the rustic style of the decorations, and how some of them aren't necessarily strictly Christmas. Go try your luck!

Truth hair has just released this fantastic new short and sassy hairstyle called Mitzi, and I've fallen in love! It's beautiful and has a ton of options for styling and his fabulous color hud means you have endless ways to personalize it. It's a mainstore release and shouldn't be missed.

Baby, you'll freeze out there....But not if you pick up the newest collaboration between Blueberry and Reign! Reignberry features a cozy cardigan, cute top, warm scarf and cute shorts that pair perfectly with boots and socks. When these two stores work together, you know that something amazing will always come out of it, and they sure didn't disappoint! These are available at both their mainstores and isn't something that should be missed. There's so many different textures, that you'll be wearing a new outfit everyday!

Truth had a perfect hair to pair with this ensemble. It's the Irenka hair with pompom hat that was a VIP gift back in December of 2016, but it's still in style for these cold wintery months! You can still purchase this if you're a VIP member for 500L for the entire fatpack, and it includes the short style I'm wearing, and also a longer style with a hud that let's you change the color of the hat as well!

Snow Pups

I live in the great Midwest, and we get a LOT of snow each winter. I tend to grumble about having to drive in it, sliding on the ice, looking out for other cars so there isn't any accidents, and having to walk on icy sidewalks. My fellow townspeople all echo it. But do you know who tends to love the snow? Little kids and puppies! My five year old loves having snowball fights and building snowmen. And I love seeing the dogs running and rolling in the fluffy new snow. It makes me forget all the negatives that come along with the white stuff!

Ciara is the current Truth VIP hair, and it's a stunning duo style, you can wear it with a long braid down the back or as a messy bun! Hurry and get it, because the rumor is that he's going to be releasing a new one this weekend sometime!

Image Essentials created two sets of seated poses for the November round of Ebento. It's currently over but they will be moved into the store. This is pose 10 from the second set of Take a Seat. They are so versatile for indoor and outdoor poses alike! 

Vinyl and Blueberry are two of my favorite clothing stores, and I love how this sweater dress from Vinyl pairs with these great leggings and boots from Blueberry! Vinyl is at Uber and the leggings are a mainstore release at Blueberry.

How cute are these pups? Jian makes the cutest little animals and currently can be found at Epiphany with these adorable Saint Bernards. It just opened for a pop up December round and has amazing things for everyone.

Sometimes a creator in Second Life designs something that instantly makes me nostalgic for a time that I didn't even know. This new hair from Truth, Beatrix, is one of those creations. As soon as I saw it, I got visions of sultry vocals, smoky lounges and vintage clothes. Its a beautiful retro style that has multiple style options that can also make it look quite modern. It's available now at the Truth mainstore, and is amazing no matter how you style it. 

One of my favorite clothing stores in Second Life is Just Because. The styles are feminine, classic and sexy all rolled into one. This dress, Wendy, is a perfectly vintage style, tightly fitted in the bodice with a sassy little flare at the bottom that would have fit right in at a speak easy. This is an older release that can be found at the Just Because mainstore.

Never Lose your Sense of Wonder

I hope you never lose your sense of wonder...This is a lyric that's always stuck with me and I find that this time of the year, more than any, I need to remember that. I work in retail, and it's the holiday season...so things get a little crazy! I have to remind myself that even though there's chaos with dealing with grouchy customers, frustrated coworkers and everyone in between, that its a season to be thankful, not just stressed! So, even when things are insane, I try to find wonder in the little things. Be it help that you didn't have to ask for, or watching someone give a small act of kindness when they didn't think anyone was watching or finding a gorgeous array of flowers to stop and take a picture with. 

Truth's VIP group recently reached 40,000 members. 40,000! That's incredible! As a thank you, he rereleased a past VIP hair gift with his updated textures. He let his group members vote on which style they wanted to see updated, and I for one, was ecstatic to find that the HoneyAna/Char VIP gift was the chosen. Its a beautiful updo and is available in his store for VIP members for 500L for the fatpack for those that might have missed it. 

Image Essentials Props & Poses is going to be part of this month's Ebento event starting November 10th and running through December 1st. They have an amazing pose pack full of sitting poses available, 5 poses plus their mirrors for only 300L, and each pose is great, I had a hard time choosing which one I wanted to use!

I took this photo at a beautiful winter themed sim called Somewhere In Time. It's gorgeously landscaped and thoughtfully decorated throughout the whole sim. I spent an hour exploring and I'm sure that I didn't see everything and will make more trips back. If you're looking for a festive scenic backdrop, this is a great place to visit.

First, a quick note! Due to the new Flickr updates with linking mp and store links in your Flickr pictures, I'm going to be utilizing (and dusting off) my blog! This is going to be a new challenge for me, but one that I welcome. So make sure to check out the blog for the full list of credits. I'll still be posting the picture on Flickr, but it'll link back to here!

I've recently been asked to blog for one of my favorite hair stores in Second Life, Truth! I've been shopping at Truth's store since I first joined Second Life almost 9 years ago, and he's only gotten better with each year and release. I'm honored to be promoting his wonderful creations. This style was a VIP hair last June, called Ambriel and is still available for purchase for VIP members, for 500L for the whole fatpack. 

I've also recently been selected to blog for Image Essentials poses, and I am so excited to share their items with everyone. They make great solo, couple and group poses and many of them include props for you to use in your photographs. This one is going to be available at Designer Showcase starting November 5th through the end of the month. The Oh Gee set is set at 300L and you get a lot of bang for your linden! It includes three couple poses, the sofa, rose and fun candy ring prop. The ring is even transferable so you'll be able to give it to your partner. Make sure to check it out once the event officially opens to the public.

I've had a little pause in posting because I'm using a borrowed laptop, mine has decided it doesn't like working, oh no! It's currently at the "computer doctor" as my four year old would say. But better late than never!

How cute is this new dress from ChicModa? It can be found at Whimsical currently and comes with lots of color options! I love the twinkly little gems on it and how versatile it can be. It's TECHNICALLY a dress, but I paired it with these leggings from Blueberry to make it into a top. I love being able to mix and match pieces from great designers! I'm also wearing the January group gift, Teanna, from Truth, it has so many different styling options and the braid is my favorite.

I'm a little late for Valentine's day, but it's been a crazy week for me! I have such a soft spot for puppies. I'm the kind of girl who will see one across the street and I go out of my way to go find the owner and ask if I can play with them!

How cute are these pups from Jian? They put out this kissing booth for FLF last week, and I had to scoop it right up because who doesn't like puppy kisses? I was pleasantly surprised by the rare dalmation from their Epiphany release from this last round, he dances on his back legs! It looks like they are about to give each other some loving. 

I'm wearing a recent release from Blueberry, the zuzu mini dress and top. Both pieces can be worn separately or together, like I have on right now. I paired it the Lara boots from Reign, which feature the most adorable bows on the backside, though you can't see them in my picture. To tie it all together is the fabulous Cheri hairstyle from Truth, it's one of my favorites that I keep going back to.

Wild hearts can't be broken....or tamed. They have to be let free to roam the fields. This picture, I feel, that it captures the RL me. I'm a prairie girl. I've been born and raised in the grasslands of South Dakota, where wide open spaces make me happy. I am NOT a city girl, crowds of people tend to make my anxiety go through the roof, so give me wide open space (to quote a Dixie Chicks song) 

How beautiful is this Valentina hair from Truth hair? It's perfect boho chic with the waves and the braids, and the backside gives a cute surprise by coming into the shape of a heart. I paired it with the beautiful skirt from Addams and stunning top from Blueberry.

My favorite way to wind down after a crazy day is a long and hot bath filled with bubbles, a glass of good wine and a favorite book. There's just something about it that lets all my stress drain away while also helping those sore muscles. Of course, my RL bathroom doesn't have a fireplace or plants or a clawfoot tub, but its the thought that counts!

It's a little early for Valentine's day, but I got inspired when I saw this backdrop from Rama. How cute is it?! So I'm going to share the love a little early. My Valentine's days are pretty tame, I've been married for a few years, and usually one or the other of us is always working, so we just enjoy a movie together on a night we have off.

I am absolutely in love with this new release from Vinyl. It's available currently at Fameshed and it's called the Sugar Sady babydoll dress. Can you see the detailing that went into that lace work? It's beautiful. The skirt also has options to be sheer or solid and comes with these cute boy shorts. I paired them with some sexy laced up heels from Blueberry, and this amazing hair from Truth!

Angel Inside U is the name of this backdrop by RAMA that I stumbled across. I fell in love with the colors, blues and purples are some of my favorite colors, and also the name of it. The Angel inside U. It reminds me to look for the good in people, even if its mostly the devil coming out. Try to find the good in people. 

I'm wearing Blueberry again today, have you guys figured out my obsession yet? Blueberry is one of my favorite brands! This is the Girls Night skirt, currently at Collabor88. The top is the Cutie top from the June Luxe Box. Luxe box was a monthly mystery subscription box that had some amazing designers, but it just had its last month, and will be missed by many. My other obsession in this, is the Truth brand of hair. I'm wearing Deja, which was a VIP group gift. That means it was free! A complete fatpack. If you're not in the VIP group, you're definitely missing out.

Fall or learn to fly.

It's been a rough couple of weeks in my household. We've been dealing with colds and sickness and my husband getting a lot of dental work done. As you can imagine, tensions and attitudes have been running crazy! During these tough times, I always try to remember something my grandpa used to tell me when I was younger, you either fall or you learn how to fly.

Annie over at Just Because, and her daughter have collaborated to make this stunning gown, featuring beautiful sparkly feathers and a train. The feathers instantly remind me of taking flight and is my inspiration today. She just released this in the JB mainstore and it's definitely a must have! Even the single colors are packed full of options, allowing you to change the waistband and the feathers to whatever color you'd like. I paired this with some great thigh high wrap around heels from Blueberry called Bonita heels. These are pretty versatile, they come in three different lengths all in one pack! You get ankle length, knee length and thigh high, in a ton of color options to meet all your needs.

The other spotlight goes to my hair. It's from Truth, which is my favorite hair designer in SL. He has a VIP group that I joined when he first started it, and I've never regretted it. Each month we get a beautifully made exclusive hair just for the VIP group. This month we got Teanna and it's packed with so many options. You can wear it straight, over the shoulder, behind the shoulder, with this cute little braid that I have. The group is definitely worth checking out if you're not already a member!

Blueberry's Angel

Hello! Thank you for stopping by my blog. This is my very first entry, and definitely will be a learning experience :)

For my first entry I want to spotlight this amazing release from one of my very favorite designers in Second Life, Blueberry. She makes these amazing creations that fit just about everyone's personalities and to top it all off, she's about the sweetest person you'll ever meet. For the past few years, she's released an Angel collection, its always been a gacha, but this year she decided to make it a regular release with all her amazing colors. It comes in two purchases, the lingerie and the wings, with so so many color options.

This amazing hair is from Truth, who is one of the best hair designers in Second Life. It was a release at Uber last month and will hopefully be arriving in his mainstore very soon!
